The final take down!

Well that definitely is it! Exhibition over and everything packed away in portfolios, never to see the light of day again! It was good to see a handful of you yesterday, although I was really surprised at how many had already taken down. I really enjoyed lunch at the Harrow (why hadn't we discovered that place before now?)
Today I am packing for a well earned holiday in the sun.

It will be wonderful to do absolutely nothing, although I am concerned that I may still be impelled to take 'anorak' photos of paving and brickwork patterns - it's a hard habit to kick not to mention something to blog on my return!

One week on

Just back from the North East after flying up for a few days to look after my Mum, who recently had a knee replacement. She seems to be managing remarkably well, so I have left the nurses uniform up there and today is the start of my return to a normal life.

It is such a relief for it all to be over, other than the culling of about two rain forests currently habiting my work room (all of the unseen bits!).

Congratulaltions to all my fellow sufferers over the last year - we all did really well. And a big thank you to Kemal and Jamie and all of the other lecturers for putting up with us! (All of their rantings have since been forgotten).

I thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ, although had a slight headache the next day!

Now there is much to do (domestic chores like housework and gardening) before we fly off to sunnier climes for a week's total relaxation. So I suppose I had better get on with it!

Will keep blogging, with snippets of how exciting my life is? Hope my fellow bloggers will keep in touch too. May see a couple of you when we take down? In the meantime TTFN

Life begins again

Its party time. It is all over other than confirmation of our grades. No more churning out A1 sheets, annotating images, but a return to my former life of mundane ordinary chores like housework, washing, gardening and of course nagging.

I've told my family 'I'm back' so they have donned their hard hats and are awaiting the fall out!
Its a great sense of relief, and I am sure I will be able to while away these beautiful sunny days, somehow. May even get a job! A bit radical but who knows. Perhaps after the summer! TTFN

We have lift off!

Well that's it! All of the toil, sweat (not that I do that) and TEARS (of which there have been plenty), it is over.
I arrived at Hadlow at 0830 this morning, beaten only by John. I took five hours to pin up, had a chat, a bit of camaraderie with my marras (that's a Northern expression for those less in the know), and eventually left, still with most of the contents of my sketch book in another bag - hey ho so much for organization!!

The above is a window into my feeble efforts. Good luck to everyone with their interviews. Looking forward to the barby on Thursday. K

Three days and counting

Only three days left. A feeling of elation and horror.
Elation as it will all be over very soon and horror at the lack of time left to organise everything.
Therefore no time to blog. TTFN.
